Wild Type Axolotl

A wild type axolotl is the natural, ancestral color variant of Ambystoma mexicanum, characterized by dark pigmentation for camouflage in the wild. They typically feature mottled dark brown, grey, olive-green, or black coloration, often adorned with shiny gold or iridescent green speckles (iridophores) and dark purple gills.

Currently eating pellets and introducing cut up earthworms.
